UICB Summer Teaching Applications—December 1

The UICB has 1-3 slots each summer for graduate students to propose a summer course geared toward undergraduate students. Details on the application process will be emailed.

Travel/Conference/Workshop/Thesis Funding

The UICB has funding to help offset costs for travel/conference fees/workshop fees/thesis supply fees. This varies from year to year. Watch your email for these announcements. Check with your advisor if you have questions about what sort of plan or project would be eligible.

The following opportunities are open for you to pursue / apply to, but your application must be submitted through the UICB. Please let your advisor know that you intend to apply for one of these grants.

Digital Scholarship & Publishing Studio Fellowship- due to UICB January 15 

Please note that this application must be submitted to the UICB by January 15 in order for UICB staff to submit the application to the Graduate College deadline of February 2. This is a firm deadline. Please read the application guidelines carefully and thoroughly.

Graduate College Summer Fellowship— due to UICB February 1

Please note that this application must be submitted to the UICB by February 1 in order for UICB staff to submit the application to the Graduate College by February 16. This is a firm deadline. Please read the application guidelines carefully and thoroughly. 

Small Grants for the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (not for presentation travel)

This application is open early in the Fall semester and again in the Spring Semester. You must apply through the Center. Please send your materials to the UICB on the first day the grant is open each semester. Please check the website grant for the exact dates.
