The UICB is proud to welcome new adjunct faculty members Karen Caria and Elizabeth Yale.
Carcia is a recent UICB MFA graduate and will be teaching Introduction to Book Arts: Writing & Letterpress Printing Workshop in the Fall semester. Carcia will combine the skills she honed at the Center for the Book as well as the skills she mastered at Indiana University where she completed an MFA in Creative Writing and at Western Michigan University where she earned a PhD in English.
Yale will be teaching Introduction to Book Studies: Books of Nature for the Fall 2014 semester. The class will rely heavily on the collections in the Martin Rare Book Room and the Harding Health Sciences Library. Yale received her PhD in the History of Science from Harvard University and comes to us after teaching for a number of years in the Department of History at Western Carolina University.
Welcome Karen and Beth!
