Jon Wilcox, Chair of the English Department, and four Center for the Book faculty—Tim Barrett, Cheryl Jacobsen, Julie Leonard and Sara Sauers—will host a special 2015 summer seminar on medieval book production technologies. Wilcox and the UICB won a coveted NEH award to support the project. The goal of the session is to help sixteen scholars gain a deeper understanding of the history and interpretation of texts through hands on experiences with parchment and papermaking, lettering arts, and book binding.
