Leslie Kathleen Hankins, UICB Graduate Certificate student, was recently recognized with an Award for Excellence by jurors of the The Morgan Conservatory’s 2018 national juried exhibition Paper Trails for her piece Towards the Learning Curve of Waves

Jurors Nikki Woods (Painter/ Director, Reinberger Gallery at The Cleveland Institute of Art) and Christina Vassallo (Executive Director, SPACES) “selected works that display a broad range of techniques and subject matter - works that stretch the boundaries of what is possible with paper. Those who stood out exhibited an appreciation of the material properties of paper, but also of its alchemical composition by revealing countless ways that paper can be utilized to express new ideas.” Furthermore, they felt that their “selections echo the spirit of this endeavor by demonstrating the limitless nature of the medium, an unabashed love for making, and dedication to their artistic practice.”
