We are excited to report that Matt Runkle (MFA, 2015) has been appointed CBAA Executive Vice President. Matt is a writer, cartoonist, book artist, and letterpress printer. His artist book, Catholics, is in permanent collections at the Library of Congress, the Newberry Library, and the University of Iowa Libraries. Recent zines include (Great) Catholics no. 1, which adapts and evolves material from the artist book, and DISH!: In Defense of Vicious Gossip, featured in CBAA’s Rising Together Zine Archive. His fiction collection, The Story of How All Animals Are Equal & Other Tales, was published in 2014 by Brooklyn Arts Press. He teaches workshops in letterpress, zines, comics, sequential collage, and other modes of writing for visual and material genres. Congratulations, Matt!
