In August of 2012 the extensive collection of type and presses assembled by Carroll Coleman at the UI in the late 1940s arrived at its new home in renovated space at the Center for the Book. The collection was originally housed in the School of Journalism where Harry Duncan and then Kay Amert cared for it and shared it with generations of students. We are all confident that the move will ensure a new life for the collection through its continued care and use by students and faculty for many decades to come. Special thanks to all the students, staff, faculty and supportive administrators who made the move possible!
