The UICB played an integral part in the recent ACM/Cornell College conference “The Past, Present, and Future of the Book” (February 3-4, 2012). Workshops led by Islam Aly, Karen Carcia, Emily Martin, and Kathleen Tandy and presentations by Tim Barrett, Matt Brown, Jennifer Burek-Pierce, Brad Dicharry, Gary Frost, Loren Glass, Adam Hooks and Rachel Stevenson, Sid Huttner, and Kalmia Strong rounded out an exciting program that explored the role of the books arts and book studies in liberal arts and research university education.
