Poojana Prasanna is a book artist, graphic designer and illustrator from Bengaluru, India. After completing her bachelor's degree in visual communication design, she worked as a Graphic Designer with a not-for-profit publisher of children's picture books in multiple Indian languages. This experience strengthened her love for the art of the book and in 2023, Poojana published her first picture book titled 'My Yellow Umbrella’ with Pratham Books. Poojana is a recipient of the Digital Scholarship and Publishing Studio Summer Fellowship. She hopes to complete her MFA in Book Arts by 2026.

Her current work oscillates between fine-press-printing and DIY-alternative-publishing methods, often blending the two seamlessly. Much of what she makes — letterpress printed books, zines, prints, illustrations and digital design work — explores how type and image manifest across mediums and tools. Poojana takes a keen interest in the print and typographic histories of India, and how her current practices of calligraphy and book making can further the reach of Indian languages in print.
