About Karen Randall:

Propolis Press was established by Karen Randall in 2001 for the purpose of printing fine letterpress artists books with poetry by innovative, contemporary authors. The philosophy of Propolis Press is that there should be no one-size-fits all approach to poetic text. Each text has its own unique DNA that should guide the morphogenesis of the book.

Recent books have incorporated four-color images printed letterpress on gampi from photopolymer plates, a process Karen developed in order to print her digital collages.

Books from Propolis Press are in a number of university libraries and special collections departments, including Yale University, Wellesley College, University of Iowa, and The Library of Congress.
