"Boxmaking Made Hard" Two-day Workshop with Jody Williams of Flying Paper Press
For students with introductory boxmaking or bookbinding skills, this is the next step. We will construct a complicated box structure from a design by the instructor, using bookboard and decorative papers. Featuring drawers, a door / lid, and window compartments, this box can be used to house small objects. The design construction and techniques involved may be applied to other, larger boxes. Precision measurements and board cutting will be covered. Samples and discussion will focus on options for text, images, and objects for the boxes.
