Manuscripts in Special Collections

Come join the University of Iowa Libraries Special Collections for special open houses featuring unique manuscripts dating from the 13th through the 19th century. Explore the artistry and craftsmanship that went into every object and witness the evolution of book production over the centuries. This is a very special opportunity to see manuscripts temporarily on loan to the University alongside some staff favorites from our own collection.

These open houses are every Tuesday 4-7PM, August 28 through November 13.

Each week we'll have a selection of rare, one-of-a-kind manuscripts for you to enjoy. Check out our Facebook events for more details of what is displayed each week: https://www.facebook.com/uispeccoll/

Event is free and open to the public
