Iowa Bibliophiles: New Acquisitions

Iowa Bibliophiles: New Acquisitions promotional image

Join Special Collections and Archives as we celebrate and showcase some of the fantastic additions to our collections from the last year.

We will also be joined by curators from the John Martin Rare Book Room from the Hardin Library for the Health Sciences, Art Library, and Canter Rare Book Room in the Rita Benton Music Library, all of whom will share material from their rare book collections.

This is your chance to get an up-close look at remarkable items, talk to curators about their collecting areas, and discover the great collections that make the UI Libraries a must-see for researchers, educators, and the curious.

The event will be held on the 3rd floor of the Main Library from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

Plus, visit the Main Library Gallery on the 1st floor to see Making the Book, Past and Present, an exhibition featuring Special Collections and Archives materials. The gallery will be open late until 7 p.m. on April 10.
